Welcome

The Loreto Vietnam-Australia Program (LVAP) is a non-profit organization headed in Vietnam by Trish Franklin. The Loreto Program supports and assists children who are disadvantaged, poor and disabled, through education training programs. There are many facets to this program: provision of education to the unprivileged, teaching of vocational skills to enable employment and shelters for orphaned children.

The Loreto Vietnam-Australia Program grew from the mandate of Loreto worldwide:

"to instill qualities in learners which, in turn, they can offer to the world"

Through careful planning and in association with local partners, LVAP's absolute focus and emphasis through EDUCATION is to assist children who are:

  • DISADVANTAGED
  • POOR
  • DISABLED

LVAP Activities

Since 1997, LVAP has constructed and equipped three rural schools and two kindergartens in Huc Mu, Binh Chanh and Cu Chi Districts (50 kms from HCMC). Overall these Educational projects:

  • provide sustainable learning for over 2000 children;
  • offer a vibrant motivation for children to attend school consistently;
  • help parents to realise the importance of "releasing" young children from working in the fields
LVAP supplies all children with school requisites so that they can attend daily classes in every subject. Click here to read more.

How You Can Help

The Loreto Program is appealing to families and friends of ISHCMC to sponsor a child's education. This year the Loreto Program is zoning a lot of enthusiasm into a new building project; a new school in a poor hamlet of Cu Chi District. This means the numbers of students needing assistance has increased. Click here to see how you can help Loreto.
